This is an Authentic HO Scale 0-4-0 Replica of America's 3rd Steam-Operated Train - The DeWitt Clinton. It's made by Bachmann for ages 8 and over with Adult Assistance. This is an exact reproduction of the DeWitt Clinton train built by the West Point Foundry, New York, in 1831. It was named after the Father of the Erie Canal and was only the third public carrier to operate under steam in America. The original DeWitt Clinton train no longer exists. However, an operating replica of the locomotive, tender, and her little stagecoach cars are now housed at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
