Powerseeker 70 MM Refractor
Call or e-mail for shipping costs
The PowerSeeker 70 is a refractor telescope perfect for terrestrial and celestial viewing on the go. The PowerSeeker can view the planets, moon, star clusters and brighter deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy at night. The erect image star diagonal makes the optical tube ideal for using as a spotting scope during the day.
Setting up the telescope is a breeze, so you can begin observing in no time. Even on your first time out, you can assemble the telescope and its accessories in just a few minutes. The adjustable tripod legs allow you to customize the telescope’s height or place it on raised surfaces like a picnic table.
Manual Alt-Azimuth telescope
Navigate the sky with a pan handle Alt-Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing. Move the clutch in an up/down, left/right fashion to track your object in the eyepiece.
The PowerSeeker 70 comes with two eyepieces (20mm and 4mm), erect image diagonal, finderscope, and a barlow lens. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view your intended object. The 3x Barlow lens triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece. The erect image diagonal allows for right-side-up viewing ideal for terrestrial subjects but can also be used for celestial objects. The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing.
Starry Night Software
Download Celestron’s Starry Night Software and learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observing session. Celestron Starry Night Software is the premier astronomy software package on the market, providing resources and knowledge to view our solar system and beyond.
Digital Microscope Kit
The entry-level Celestron Digital Microscope Kit with magnification from 40x to 600x is the perfect tool for the budding scientist. Observe specimens with the zoom eyepiece, or attach the included digital camera to view them on your PC. Save photos or videos of your discoveries directly to your computer’s hard drive using the intuitive software.
At high power, you’ll be able to examine specimen slides of yeasts and molds, cultures, plant and animal parts, fibers, bacteria, and more. Use the lower magnifications to examine objects like coins, rocks, insects, and more. Start out by using the provided specimen slides, and then create some of your own!
Your Microscope Kit is ready to use right out of the box with these included accessories:
3 prepared slides
2 blank slides
1 well slide
Specimens: leaf, cloth, woven cloth, and quartz chip
This 4-Speed Crank Axle Gear Box is small but has a lot of power. There are four gear ratios to choose from, including the slowest ratio that allows for two rotations per minute. Two crank arms are included for added flexibility in the design of projects.
